On behalf of the Brewster Elementary School staff I want to welcome you back to a new school year.

At Brewster Elementary we currently serve about 500 students K-6. We are committed to focusing on reading, math and writing. We also offer other subject areas that are integrate into our core curriculum such as: music, PE, art, social studies and science.

Our students are held to high academic standards. Our challenge is to raise student achievement to the next level, the level set by our State through the Essential Academic Learning Requirements. These requirements are a challenge for all schools and all students. Our staff has accepted the challenge, we work together to overcome obstacles, and to be positive in the face of a difficult situations. We celebrate successes and look forward to working with you throughout this journey.

Brewster Elementary staff members appreciate and depend upon active parent involvement in our school and with different programs. If at any time, you would like to volunteer in a classroom, in the office, or on the playground, either on an occasional basis or on a regular basis, please come into the office and we can help you make that possible. We need your involvement as we strive to build an excellent school system.

The student day will start at 8:00 and end at 2:50. Buses will run accordingly. Every Monday school will start at 9:30 and end at 2:50. Breakfast on this day will begin at 9:00, buses will run 1.5 hrs later. This time will allow staff to collaborate in grade level teams in an effort to improve instruction for student achievement.

As principal, I am excited to continue to meet and work with each of you.
